BLOOBER TEAM SHOWS LAYERS OF FEAR GAMESPLAY IN A 12-MINUTE SHOWCASE
While the Silent Hill 2 remake is in the works, Bloober Team has started work on Layers of Fear. The team released a 12-minute gameplay video for fans to see the progress of the game, which is due out in three months.
The gameplay footage shows that “Layers of Fear” does not just remake the original games. The gameplay footage shows a new protagonist and setting. It features the author in an old lighthouse trying to write a novel. Other protagonists from more familiar places also appear in the game.

The narrative of the writer will act as a link between Layers of Fear 2 and Layers of Fear 3, resulting in a cohesive and consistent experience.
The game can be described as a mix of sequel and remake. The unique addition of a lantern that can double as a weapon in the game is quite interesting. It’s funny to note that a similar weapon was also included in a major horror remake in 2023.
You can clearly see the game running in Unreal Engine 5. This is clearly an improvement on the original games. It remains to be seen if it will match them in quality.
Layers of Fear will soon be available for PC and current-gen consoles on June.
